Route 27 Ultra Runners

Two purchases made by the Route27 crew (in preperation for various heroic activities) on the same day from different websites:

Purchase One: Loads of energy bars, gels and some powdered miracle dust from a website that was admittedly cheap but very impracticle to use, didnt accept our card details on two occasions and had no telephone number to make contact. Said we'd have next day delivery and after three days of nothing and no response to two emails, the goods finally arrived with a bad taste in our mouths.

Purchase Two: Our first visit (proper visit that is) to Likeys.com or as some people know it The Little Fat Welshmans Site. We needed lots of quite un-manly stuff (gaiters, bum bag etc) and wondered whether Likeys would be best value or if their popularity was more to do with the legendary status of said Fat Welshman. We were pleased to find that Likeys were in fact cheaper than the other site we checked (very well know with similar legend status) so the purchase process was begun.

Admittedly, the site did begin to run slow as we started making our purchase but a simple phone call to a lovely lady called Sue put everything right as she took the order over the phone in a friendly and knowledgeable manner (and lovely welsh accent) and totally let me name drop a few races without sighing  and tutting impatitently down the phone like I deserved.

And it all arrived the next day. Good job!
