The JW Ultra is a 30-mile ultra-marathon along the canal towpath from Stratford upon Avon to Bournville, run in honour of John Ward, a founder of the Bournville Harriers running club, who died in 1997. The towpath was one of Johns favourite training routes and he had been planning on organising a race along it to give others a chance to enjoy it too.

Start: Seven Meadows Car Park, Stratford Greenway, Seven Meadows Road CV37 6GR.

Finish: Rowheath Pavilion, Heath Road, Birmingham B30 1HH.

Prizes for first man, first women, first vet V40 male and female. TRA permit applied for.

Runners must be over 18 on day of race
